Today’s class: We’ll talk about the projects in the blog folder Examples of MPJ projects as well as the examples you found

Due Tuesday: Blog post 1 & Tweet 1 — Find an example of a “good” MPJ project

  • Discuss what makes it “good” in at least 250 words
  • Use complete sentences
  • Include an in-text link to your example
  • Write an interesting headline that will entice people to read your post

Tweet 1

  • Summarize the main point of your blog post & tweet it
  • Include a link to your blog post (Use bitly to shorten the link)
  • Use #mpj2014

For Thursday: Read the materials in the Visual Storytelling folder and find an example of good visual storytelling (it should include video/photos)

  • Find an example of good visual storytelling (it should include video/photos)
  • In at least 250 words, discuss what makes it good
    • What makes it compelling?
    • Is it journalism in the traditional sense, or storytelling done on behalf of an organization or other group?
  • Include an in-text link to your example
  • Link to any of the “readings” that helped you identify what makes the example a good piece of visual storytelling
